What is a B Corp?
B Corp stands for 'Benefit Corporation'. B Corp-certified companies leverage the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. B Corps are certified based on strict standards, requiring them to provide evidence of their positive impact.
The B Corp certification is achieved through a thorough assessment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the extent to which an organisation distinguishes itself by striving to meet these goals.
ContactCare is the first customer contact organisation in the Netherlands & Suriname to receive this designation.
Dedicated to sustainable development.
We chose to become B Corp certified because we believe that business is about more than just making a profit. For us, it's crucial to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Our drive to create a positive impact is an integral part of all our activities and work processes.
"Entrepreneurship today requires a critical look at a company's impact socially, ecologically, and societally. With ContactCare, we have the opportunity to drive positive change. We eagerly seize that chance with both hands."
Jasper Meerding - CEO
Determined to go even further in our ambition.
The B Corp community opens the door to a network of over 4,500 like-minded businesses all striving for positive change. We are incredibly proud to be part of this.
Through this network, we gain access to valuable experiences, best practices, and collaboration opportunities. It is a source of inspiration that drives us to constantly learn and grow in sustainability and social responsibility.
The B Corp certification acts as a powerful catalyst for positive change within our company and the wider community in the Netherlands and Suriname. It empowers us to go beyond profit maximisation and make a meaningful contribution to the well-being of people and the planet.
Other B Corps we are proud of!
Our B Corp score: 85.3
Following the B Impact assessment, ContactCare achieved a total score of 85.3. The median score for ordinary companies completing the assessment is currently 50.9. Achieving the B Corp certification is not only a recognition of our efforts but also serves as a powerful signal to our customers and partners. It demonstrates that we hold transparency, responsibility, and sustainability in high regard. Only a handful of customer contact organizations worldwide have attained this certification, and it makes us proud of the path we are on. The certification is based on strict, verifiable standards across five categories: governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment.

The fact that ContactCare is the first client contact organisation in the Netherlands and Suriname to receive the B Corp certification is not only a source of pride but should also inspire others in our industry and beyond. Why? The reason is simple yet powerful: collective impact. More organisations, not just client contact organisations, should aim for the B Corp certification worldwide. Currently, there are only 4,000 B Corps spread across 74 countries. Increasing this number enhances the collective impact on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by all 193 UN member states in 2015. These goals aim for a sustainable world for everyone by 2030, leaving no one behind.
It's no longer about whether companies contribute to these goals, but how they do it. B Corp certification offers a structured framework to evaluate and enhance business practices, enabling companies to actively contribute to a more sustainable world. By pursuing this certification, contact organizations can not only increase their own impact but also set the standard for an industry centered around interaction and connection. ContactCare stands for excellence in customer contact and dedication to social responsibility and sustainability. Let's strive together for a world where businesses not only thrive but also contribute to positive global change. Every certified organization brings us closer to achieving a sustainable future for us all.
Our advice: be genuine, be yourself.
Companies that, like us, aim for positive impact should primarily focus on their core activities. In our case, focused on social impact through customer contact, we remain true to ourselves. By providing everyone in our organisation with a place, offering development opportunities and a future perspective, we answer the 'how'. This approach not only improves business operations but also has a positive influence on the broader community. By staying true to themselves, companies can not only bring about positive changes in the world but also create a deeper connection with customers, employees, and society. It's about harnessing the company's power as a lever for positive impact, enabling both the business and the community to thrive.
"Our advice to other businesses is to look at their unique characteristics and make a difference from their core activities. For example, a bicycle repair shop might consider using sustainable materials. It's about rethinking processes and integrating sustainability into everyday operations."
