ContactCare Commits to Education and Sustainability with Action for Students in Suriname
On 1 October, the new school year in Suriname officially began, and on 5 October we celebrated World Teachers' Day, an occasion highlighting the importance of teachers and education worldwide.
Our office in Suriname seized this moment to contribute to the promotion of quality education, in line with SDG Goal 4, which focuses on ensuring quality education for all.
To support this goal, we provided vouchers to all our employees, allowing them to purchase school supplies. Employees had the freedom to use the vouchers for their own children or to donate them to children who could use some extra support.
This gesture aligns with our B Corp certification and underscores our commitment to a sustainable and equitable world.
"We believe that investing in education is essential for building a better future. With this initiative, we contribute not only to the development of children but also to raising awareness of sustainable initiatives, which we hope will inspire other organizations.” Christopher Gits, Manager Operations at ContactCare Suriname.
The involvement of the employees was significant, and proudly, some photos were shared of the children on their first day of school. ContactCare wishes all students a successful and educational school year and continues to commit to initiatives that contribute to social and sustainable progress.
